I have a short week at school this week, as yesterday was bank holiday, and I'm at an interview on Friday. I also only have 2 more lessons to plan for the week, as I'm a few lessons ahead in my planning for most classes, and also because it's Year 9 SATs week, which means I only have one Year 9 lesson this week.

Did an introduction to Rastafarianism with Year 8 this morning, which led into a discussion about different types of drugs (one pupils thought Rastas smoke crack). Had to link the slave trade to this lesson, and explaining that led to a discussion about HIV and AIDs, as well as the debts of developing countries.

Only 4 more weeks of my placement left! Then it's half term, and then I go back to college for just over a week, and then I'm finished. Including today, I have 17 more days of teaching left to go!
